Tadka Street was born from a simple idea: that the vibrant, bold, soul-satisfying flavours of India's street food deserve to be experienced by everyone, no matter where they are in the world.

Our journey started with memories of early morning dosa stalls in Chennai, the chaat wallahs of Chandni Chowk, and the intoxicating aroma of tandoori spices filling the evening air. These aren't just recipes to us — they're stories, traditions, and a way of life.

When we set up shop in Sippy Downs, we made a promise: no shortcuts. Every batter ground fresh, every spice blend roasted in-house, every chutney made by hand. Because that's how it's done back home, and that's how it should be done here.

Where do you source your ingredients?

We source our spices from trusted Australian-Indian suppliers, and our fresh produce comes from local Sunshine Coast markets wherever possible. Our paneer is made fresh, our batters are ground daily, and our spice blends are roasted in-house.

Do you have gluten-free options?

Many of our dishes are naturally gluten-free, including all our South Indian dosas and idlis, most curries, and our tandoori items. Please inform our staff about any allergies and we'll guide you through safe options.
